Mai Chau is a beautiful valley, 135kms north-west of Ha Noi. This is one of the closest places to Ha Noi where you can see real “Montagnard” villages. It is a complex of villages, farms and huts spread out over a large valley surrounded by mountains.

The main inhabitant is the ethnic White Thai, which is considered to be distantly related to tribes in Thailand, Laos and China. The most interesting thing here is walking from village to village to enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the people working, especially women weaving at the loom to make traditional brocades. We offer some of the trekking tours in Mai Chau to explore the landscape and traditional culture there.

Day 01 : Hanoi - Mai Chau - Trek ( L - D )

Depart 8.00 am from the Et - Pumpkin Adventure Travel and drive to Mai Chau. The road ride takes 4 hours with some stops on the way for viewing wonderful landscapes. Enjoy lunch in a local house. Then walking to visit some villages of the Thai people in Pom Coong or Chieng Chau village. Back to Mai Chau for dinner. Home stay in the stilt house with the friendly Thai ethnic people.

Day 02 : Mai Chau Hanoi ( B - L )

Have breakfast then head out for 3 hrs trekking or cycling through the rice paddies and local villages to see the daily life here. Make your way back to the home stay for lunch. Road trip back to Ha Noi. Trip ends in Ha Noi about 5:00pm.
